Emirates launched a third daily frequency on the Dubai–Phuket (DXB–HKT) route on 6 July 2026, bringing total weekly seat capacity from the carrier to 3,360 in each direction and deploying its A350-900 wide-body aircraft across all three daily services.

What Has Changed

Prior to 6 July, Emirates operated two daily Dubai–Phuket services. The new third frequency runs as EK 386/387 and departs Dubai at 09:15, arriving Phuket at 21:30 local time. Return service departs Phuket at 23:45, landing in Dubai at 03:50+1.

The expansion brings Emirates’ Phuket operation to its largest-ever schedule and makes Phuket one of only a handful of Southeast Asian cities to receive three daily widebody services from Dubai.

Why It Matters for Travellers

Three daily flights give significantly more flexibility for onward connections through Dubai to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas. Passengers travelling from the UK, for example, now have three practical departure-time options that connect with Emirates’ long-haul network at DXB.

The A350-900 deployed on all three services offers 32 Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration and 247 Economy Class seats. The aircraft features improved cabin air quality and noise levels compared to the Boeing 777 previously used on some Phuket rotations.

Booking and Fares

Standard published fares apply - no promotional pricing was announced alongside the schedule change. To compare Emirates against Thai Airways, Qatar, and other carriers serving Phuket, search flights to Thailand for live pricing. Travellers connecting from European or African points should confirm minimum connection times at Dubai International as these vary by terminal.

Phuket International Airport handles all Emirates services at the international terminal. Phuket food and local transport are well covered in our destination guides, and our Thailand flights guide has a full breakdown of carriers, routes, and seasonal pricing for flights into the country.

Wider Context

Phuket welcomed 9.8 million international visitors in 2025 and has seen consistent year-on-year growth in Gulf carrier capacity since 2023. Emirates joins flydubai in operating daily service from the UAE to Phuket, though the two airlines operate independently in terms of terminals and cabin products.
